CARBON EXPO 2005

The Carbon Expo or the Global Carbon Market Fair and Conference was held in Cologne , Germany from May 11 to May 13, 2005 for the second time after its successful conduct in June 2004.

The Expo served as a venue for relevant players in the Carbon Market to interact and discuss the latest developments, trends, and issues in GHG reduction.

The Carbon Expo 2005 was organized by Koelnmesse, the World Bank Carbon Finance Group, and the International Emissions Trading Association.

klima actively participated in the Carbon Expo through its CD4CDM Project. CD4CDM Philippines took the lead in organizing the CD4CDM-Asia side event scheduled last May 11. The side event focused on the presentations from its implementing countries of Cambodia , Philippines , and Vietnam regarding their DNA approval process and their CDM portfolios. CD4CDM Philippines also led the preparations for the CD4CDM-Asia booth containing CDM portfolios and DNA information of its participating countries.

klima was also asked by the Philippine DNA to help in the preparations of the Philippine booth. It showcased some relevant information of the Philippine DNA, potential projects that can be developed in the Philippines and the status of CDM-eligible projects that are in the pipeline.
